Gracepool stepped in, taking ownership of the challenge and implementing innovative solutions, including chemical washing, pipe replacement, hacking, and retiling, all while navigating manpower and paperwork complexities. The result was a swift one-month completion, restoring the pool to a state of joy for the residents who eagerly embraced their much-needed sanctuary once restrictions were lifted.

Problem Faced

Disrupted Trust/Joy :
– During construction of the swimming pool, wrong and unsuitable materials were used for the pool pipes that resulted in rust that entered the swimming pool and staining pool tiles

– Water was unsightly and as a result none of the residents used the pool

– Past contractors could not offer a solution and did not have the confidence to successfully solve this problem

– This job needed to be conducted during Circuit breaker stringent regulations

Solution

Interventions by Grace:
– Gracepool took over the maintenance contract and wanted to solve the root cause despite other contractors’ reluctance

– Motivated to restore the pool for residents’ enjoyment

– Submitted proposal for chemical washing and to replace the portion of the piping that was affecting the rust in the pool. This job require hacking and retiling of the pool

– Gracepool also required to navigate manpower and paperwork challenges as a result of Covid-19 shutdowns
